eServer p5

p5

IBM's POWER5-based product line for AIX and Linux workloads, sharing processor silicon with the eServer i5 but sold as a separate brand, later renamed System p.

The eServer p5 was IBM's brand name for its POWER5-based AIX/Linux systems starting in 2004, machine types like 9111-520, 9113-550, 9117-570, and 9119-595. IBM renamed the line System p in 2006, and it was absorbed into the unified Power Systems brand in April 2008.
