IBM's text says #6718, #6818, #8618 and #8818 '8.58 GB' units convert to #4318, which is a 17.54 GB feature; the 8.58 GB figure appears to be carried over from the #4317 entry.

Pre-POWER5 in origin. Withdrawn from marketing for new orders on 1 June 2004; conversions remained available, so it appears on POWER5 inventories. IBM lists Model 270, 9406 520, 550, 570, 595, the 800 series and 9411-100. #0829 marks it as the load source.
